Drugs- a silly non-issue. I don't care a bit what adults do to themselves. Society should not protect you from yourself. I don't think any of us make a contract with society in order for it to thwart us in our will towards ourselves.

I see no reason to delineate between murderers. One murder, two murders, 10 murders- you get put away forever. You cannot restore the life or lives you took- so unless it turns out the alleged criminal was innocent, OR it can be VERY well established they are likely NEVER to kill again (and the odds of being able to establish that are small) then they stay in. I see no logical reason why we need to punish murderers differently. It seems to add an unnecessary layer of foolish complexity.
