You asked me why would I care, so I will tell you.

Making money is not hard. In 1964 I srarted with $2400 that I saved from high school jobs. By the time I was 26, I had built an advertising agency, was driving a 1966 275 GTB and living in a duplex on Central Park West. I'm now middle aged and live in Napa, CA. Right now, I'm typing this and looking past a neighbor's vinyard down the hill and into a little valley that I see from my home office.

Being proud of how you make the money is another matter.

How much money I've made over my life has not effected my basic moral or intellectual honesty or my ability to see the world for what it is.

It is those attributes that have helped me achieve what I have achieved.

A long time ago I set out to make as much money as I could and to do nothing I wasn't proud of, or couldn't tell my father about while looking at him in the eyes.

When I look at what others do, I recognize that we all justify to ourselves, what we do so we cam maintain good feelings about ourselves. Our rationalizations do not change reality, however.

It is clear to me, at least, that there is something amiss with the price of oil--it is not set competetively. I know that the issue is complex, but I also know how BIG money and politics work, and I know that both are are involved in this.

Best regards to you and your family, or loved ones,

G
