That's good news.

Here's a few things worth keeping an eye on.

The InfiniBand organization are having a conference to review the first InfiniBand spec. This is open to members only but I am sure it will generate a few news articles.

Thanks for posting that link.

I think the IXP1200 is an excellent example of the value add Wind River gets by particpating in the "Center of Excellence" concept. VxWorks is the only commercial RTOS currently ported to the IXP1200 and every Intel IXP1200 eval system sent out contains a vxWorks BSP. This allows VxWorks to be the enabler for any system prototype using the IXP1200 - which could eventually lead to product as is the case with F5 Networks.

Load balancing is vital to solving system bottlenecks and F5 Networks has one of the leading products. Dell plans to release a server appliance in the second half of the year using the F5 Big-IP content switch. F5 is also parterned with HP among others.
