Steve ,
Can you or anyone explain this;

The company said paper licensing would
account for 15 percent of revenues in the
second quarter, compared with less than
half that in previous quarters. The figure
will reach 20 percent in the fourth quarter.

Mr. Templeton said customer demand was
"as strong as we've ever seen it" for the
second half of the year, but operating
margins will drop because of the product
shift

The company is still going to have an 11% increase Q over Q. But the EPS will not increase from the 16 cents last year but will instead decrease to 9-11 cents.

Let us accept that revenue growth slowed for reasons given, it still leaves a questions regarding earnings.
Writeoffs of inventory in the channel 8-10 million. Is this an expense to earnings? Also what is the margin drop referring to-volume discounts? If paper licensing is up by 8% over previous Q's-roughly 8.8 million more in Q2 and that accounts for ? of the shortfall.

Any accounting types have a comment?

Ray
