1. The essence of your pluses and minuses list of Fuller is that he is fair at the operational level and a complete idiot when it comes to making "money" deals.

2. Another short- to mid-term uncertainty, or danger, with the current Fuller/BOD intact, is that they may attempt to make another major deal or acquisition. Then we really will have Scream IV: The Final Conflict!

3. A new Chairman with executive power will accomplish three things: first is to shame the current amigos on the board into resigning and replace them with intelligent investors, such as Don Magie; second is to keep a daily if not hourly close watch over Fuller to make sure that he works and only works at the operational level and has no role and no say in no major strategic deals; third is to get a real good deal for us the shareholders as well as the employees alike, such as a sale to a significant company at a real good price and for real money (no Corel papers please).

I think the Corel fiasco cancels out all of the positive developments you have suggested he is responsible for. I would also add that the MS licensing deal was probably a small fraction of what a competent negotiator would have been able to achieve. Think how much they could have had? You're talking about a guy who was going to completely give up control of the company and twenty years of technology to a time tested loser with no money and a crashing revenue stream. Based on what? On some hype inflated stock price jacked up by a lot of hollow noise about Linux, that's what. Sorry Charlie, I have no confidence, none, after that bungled effort. This guy just about got you all fleeced by a guy who carries his sheers in full view. ANY analyst could have told him that, in the event he couldn't figure it out from the ample evidence himself -- and apparently he couldn't.

...... and another thing is that we are paying Fuller very well indeed to do good, not goof, things for the company. Therefore, the pluses side of your list should really be regarded as no more than a routine job requirement.

...... and have a nice weekend.
