Re: "I do not expect AMD to make its move (barring any big news) until a week from next Monday."

Hope you're mistakened, for selfish reasons only, as I exercised my June 80's on the assumption that will see $85 plus in the first half of the week! But I can live with the following week as I've accumulated a large July call position as I'm looking for triple digits (still!!!) well before their expiry...Once again, AMD is coiled like a compressed spring, imho!

I do not expect AMD to make its move (barring any big news) until a week from next Monday.

I personally hope it waits for July 6th. On July 5th the options in my 401K account expand. One of these is a "brokerage gateway" to DLJ direct. If the price is about what it is now I will probably buy another 100 shares with my 401K money. If it has all ready bounce up I might buy 50 or I might hold off for a dip. If it has exploded up I'll probably leave things the way they are now.

I entered into the option spread that I was talking about.
I sold 2 Jan 2003 120 calls and bought 6 January 2001 calls.
If AMD does jump up soon I will sell my July and October calls and as many of the January calls as I need to, and buy back the 2003 calls.
