MArk, I think I know you a little bit to say you would consider yourself a compassionate person(except when it comes to cleaning fish ponds)<g> And I know you do not care to discuss things anymore much around here, and I understand that, but I hope you do not mind me making a couple comments about your post. The reality is that if they want to be accredited, they have to act as the laws of the land dictate I think you missed a point here. "They" are not worried about accredition as much as they are worried about life. They value the life of the unborn AS MUCH as the life of a 10 yr old, 20 yr old etc etc . They value what The Father has said about murder, abstinance, and all the sin that runs with abortion. I don't understand the logic of feeling that since abortion hurts humanity, we will hurt a even greater percentage by denying them service, many of which are life saving in nature. I may be misunderstanding one of two lines of thinking here so I will address both. 1.IF you are saying that other patients(many who cannot pay) will be hurt by the hospital closings, I agree. But you must understand that it is the govt. that is dictating the action as they know what the Christians answer must be. The action of a Christian can no more be "we will kill the unborn to save others" than it would be for me to say somethin like , you must die to protect the unborn. 2.IF you mean that abortions are done to save lives then you know as well as I that you are playing "hear no evil see no evil" and protecting your conscience from the truth that a serious minority of any abortions are done to save the mother. Serious enough to be glaring. WHat the outrage should be IMO, is the people(you) of the region, shold be standing against the govt. to even consider these places of compassion and care giving should be turned into slaughter houses. Mark, thanks for hanging around. May the God of grace reach out to us both. dan
