If they don't sign now, for memory starting july 1 for the next five years. Make 'em pay for the past memory they produced. Now that is a nice damage to collect.

good luck to all.

Nothing like extortion to make for good customer relations. Certain families in Chicago and New York have been using this principle quite effectively, for generations.

Using emotionally charged terms like extortion to describe the lawful process of demanding a royalty for using ones patented intellectual property exposes your bias. Do all other firms who demand such royalty payments deserve the same moniker? If you think they do, you are living in the wrong economic world. Do you expect individuals and firms invest their time, money and energy developing patentable technology without the ability to demand royalties?

Perhaps you better rethink what you just said.

Barry

It is not extortion to expect to be paid for the use of your intellectual property. This is the law. You are a sore loser and Bilow is an obsessed fool.

Scumbria, are you calling me a thief? Extortion is thievery is it not? I make my living selling my own IP, and am slightly miffed and your offensive line as it relates to creators of IP. We are not different than musicians and writers (except for some crazy reason they get royalties for 75 years, we rarely get more than 15 years (by the time a product hit the market a good chunk of the 20 years patent life is gone).

You seem to have little comprehension of patent law.

Do the right thing and you don't have to worry about extortion by the government. License instead of steal!

Theft of intellectual property is worse than the government enforcement of intellectual property rights.
