Good points, George. But I demur that finding bargain air fares isn't important - it's very important to Edwarda's sister. Nevertheless, the bargains have been hunted, the wire transfer has been set up, so now with a sigh of relief we can put those worries aside. You posted about a meeting with Edwarda. Where did you meet, and what did you do? BTW, I don't disagree with your larger point that logistics are a distraction - but some of us (like me) enjoy the distraction.

George-- whatever I said that made you feel like an interloper was unintentional. You were one of Edwarda's friends and favorite people and no one belongs here more. I am confused by your post and your reference to me- for indeed that is exactly what I thought I was saying in mine to you-- that people were working quietly to get done what you seemed to be saying no one was doing, but also to point out that for some, doing and details ARE their way of showing caring, for others happy reminiscences are the expression of their feelings about Edwarda. Edwarda celebrated people's differences, and I was talking today to someone who made the comment that Edwarda had a gift for finding something lovable in everyone, and speaking directly to it. It is a rare gift. And that is what I meant about her understanding all the ways in which people show their caring. I am sorry that you felt somehow that you were personally attacked. penni
