How did you make your500 per cent gain, out of curiosity.? Also, news on the 1.6 gig (from Ron, @ the Fool thread) I bet Bilow pounces on this and has 500 reasons why it won't work. Obsession. <<This is the long awaited 1.6 GHz product that was predicted late last year by Geoff Tate in a conference call. The effect of the product is that it effectively doubles the memory bandwidth / data transfer speed from RMBS' current 800 MHz offering. The interesting thing is that this isn't done by doubling the clock speed, which I thought would be the case. Instead, the existing double data rate (DDR) cycle has been somehow doubled again so that four bits are transferred in each clock cycle, rather than two. How those crafty RMBS engineers have accomplished this given all the complicated electrical issues is beyond me, but I'm certainly impressed. This technology should have profound implications for RMBS' data communications products, among other things. As great as this news is, it also allows us to reflect on three different promises, in a sense, that were made by Geoff Tate in a conference call late last year. In evaluating the strength of this management team, please realize that these promises were made in a low key way, totally avoiding bluster of any kind. However, the naysayers on this board at the time scoffed at these predictions. As it turns out, management has managed to deliver on every single one of these promises, and in some cases has gone beyond their initial scope. This is critical information to keep in mind in evaluating future statements by management. Here are the three promises: 1. That by June, 2000, a 1.6 GHz product would be announced. Done, as of today. 2. That in the first half of 2000, RMBS would be announcing products for the data communications market. Done. An impressive array of partners and customers have already been lined up. 3. That RMBS was reviewing its intellectual property position with respect to DDR and might engage the legal process in order to enforce its IP rights. Done. Hitachi was sued, and today Toshiba announced that it would pay licensing fees to RMBS for the use of DDR. Amazing. Ron
