But my major point is that Corel has an office suite package that can be offered to the linux market. Maybe the hardcore purists won't want it, but the rest of us who would like to wean ourselves away from MSFT (certainly to get away from having to reboot the entire system when an app crashes), or merely to get in "vogue" with the future which I believe IS Linux.

I've no problem with the concept that you consider Linux to be the future. It's made great strides in the web server arena. I'm less sure a version of unix is going to make it as a consumer OS. I'm completely bewildered that anyone would think that CORL is the company with the right stuff to takeover the Apps business should a consumer product catch on. If I were a trader I might take a position in hopes of a management driven hype spike, but I'm investor. Isn't management the single most important quality to look for in the penny or near penny (under 5) stocks?

I've often heard that you should never fall in love with a stock. Wouldn't betting on a competitor stock because you despise the competitor be just as risky to your objectivity?

Later,

Tom
