IHI Major Announcement - Robotic Equipment Has Arrived.
Complete Shipment of Robotic Equipment Has Arrived at
IHI's First Automated Manufacturing Facility
===========================================================================
At the beginning of the new Millenium, a significant milestone for
International Hi-Tech Industries Inc. ("IHI") was achieved. The Company's
President Roger A. Rached has accepted the complete shipment of robotic
equipment essential to the commencement of production of IHI's advanced
panel system.
The equipment, from Fanuc Robotics Canada, arrived at the end of December,
2000, at IHI's Delta, B.C. factory. IHI and Fanuc are presently installing
the shipment, which consists of over 1250 items, all fully pre-assembled
and tested to manufacture IHI's steel-framed panels at Fanuc prior to
delivery. The system at full capacity will provide sufficient steel
manufacturing capability to supply three standard IHI panel production
lines - enabling the Company to be able to supply construction companies
and developers as well as joint venture partnerships with the IHI system
worldwide. The Company has received more than $7.5 million Cdn. as
irrevocable down payments on license agreements to date for the
joint-venture factories. IHI's goal over the ten years following commercial
production is to capture 1% of the global construction market, with 100
joint venture partner facilities in operation around the world.
The six-axis welding and plasma cutting robots are fitted with the latest
touch-sensing and power source equipment. They are controlled by an
advanced and secured touch screen computer system linked to the IHI
computer network. Unique material handling equipment has been developed for
the steel frames manufactured by IHI's roll-forming line for panel sizes up
to 12' x 40'. Included in the package are special fencing systems with
proper radiation shields and emergency sensors for safety management.
The company is hiring new staff on an ongoing basis as the production
process commences. Currently the Company is looking for an in-house Chief
Structural Engineer (P. Eng.), Chief Production Manager, and Chief
Estimator. Further details will be posted on the IHI website (www.ihi.ca)

The Company takes this opportunity to wish every reader of this News
Release the very best of the New Year, and to thank IHI shareholders for
their continuous support.

International Hi-Tech Industries Inc. is a company whose principal business
is the development and commercialization of a new building system in
