Steve-thanks for the welcome. I have only been following ALA since the merger with NN. Got into NN in about 1994, but Terrence M. and crew just could not put it together. Basically, it seems CSCO just out managed them, along with BAY, COMS, and CS.

I have hopes for ALA, but Serge and P. Flynn must be able to compete in this world class league. Indications are that they can, but NT, GLW, JDSU, SDLI and LU are to be reckoned with.

Anyway, hopefully the recent positive action in ALA is not just the tide raising this ship, but rather recognition by investors that ALA has much to offer in the networking/optical space.
