The left loves him. He's only caved in on fights where he had already lost and which the ultra left knew they were losing. He's their best fundraiser. He's backed off from sweeping progressive programs only to propose gradual implementations that would eventually lead to socialized plans, such as health care, elder day care, and child care. The best way to implement those plans is to implement them in pieces in a way which raises costs so that more and more people have to turn to the government for insurance.

BSGrinder,
I think the correct view of the Republican-Democrat debate was best summarized by Earlie(I think it was you Earlie) last year. He was relating a story from his youth when he worked for a a soap company like Tide. The same soap went through the pipe...one day it was put in boxes as Tide, the next day it went into boxes as ALL, the next day it was CHEER, etc. Same soap different boxes. Get the picure? It's not Repubican or Democrat....bottom line is: they are all attorneys cloaked as politicians lining their own pockets at some one else's expense. Soap is soap no matter what box it comes in.

It certainly amazed me a bit when he (Clinton) was re-elected for a second term, but then again, some folks tell me that the American people are "not what they used to be" or something along those lines..... Last night in L.A. was another disgrace. Yogi
