They are against the very existence of the corporation. No wonder they don't like the stock.

Not to me. IMO, Toshiba isn't much of a factor in the PC main memory arena. Consequently this concession doesn't seem that dramatic. And remember, Toshiba is part of Rambus' biggest success story to date, the Sony PSX2 using Toshiba memory.
Who know's what goes on behind closed door's? In my mind the question still remains, what response will the memory makers make to this attack? Either way, this is the next big story.
