CC, I don't eat or shoot doves, and only cowards do. There is not enough meat on a dozen of those little birds for a real man to get a meal from. I have been to many deer camps, and bow hunt. I like a little challenge in my hunting, and prefer venison to baby bird flesh. I eat every edible bite of the buck, and do not display antlers on my walls. That is for boasters. Using a 12 gauge on those little bitty birds is for sissies. That large a gauge is for downing some pervert trying to attack you. If you want to really be a hunter, go up to Wyoming, or the Sierra Nevada, and hunt elk in places you can only get to by horseback. While my business interests have taken me to many cities, my first love is in the wild, and I have always avoided living in urban squalor, which means I will soon have to move because the urban sprawl is getting too close to home. ~H~
