Hey *I don't need a local OS. For the past several months I've not spun a local HD once. I connect via Unix (and
DOS) to my Unix shell account on a machine 20 miles away. From there I do everything but graphics and I do it
FAST. Once we have the bandwidth buildout built, I'll be able to experience the same speedy experience WITH
the GUI (although I'm not very inclined that way). I love buzzing through the web in simple text mode. I can shell
out of wherever I am and check messages on SI in less than 2 seconds with a 28.8 modem. --- I store
EVERYTHING remotely (in different places). --- I'm one of those people who would LOVE to replace their PC with
a diskless, noiseless net-centric thin client (really). -JCJ<

It seems like you love thin client then go ahead keep it. Now let me see, if somehow the gov. comes along and say you can not have thin client because Dell want you to buy PC instead to maximize their profit. What do you think?? If it is wrong is the answer, then why on earth you insist that most people who love their PC THE WAY IT IS to change to thin client? We enjoy our PC better than you enjoy your thin client, a lot more:-)
