PRS is another oil patch pick from one of our resident black stuff gurus, Dave-tdl4138. Looks very promising at less than 5x annualized sales right now. No analyst estimates yet, but coverage should come along sooner or later.

"Pure Resources, Inc. is an independent energy company engaged in the exploration, development, production and acquisition of oil and gas properties, with proved reserves of over one trillion cubic feet of NGE. For the three months ended 3/31/00, total revenues totaled $42.5 million, up from $18.7 million. Net income totaled $13.7 million vs. a loss of $1.5 million. Results reflect increased gas and oil sales due to higher average gas and oil sales prices."

Profitability ratios are very impressive.

Dale,

This excerpt is from Steve Harmon's e-mail send-outs. I am planning to add more NETP to my longs.

(NETP)

It's amazing that Web users that know the general-
purpose ad and marketing that pollutes the daily Web
experience still don't see the underlying value in a
pure play like Net Perceptions (NETP).

The Web marketing firm just cut a deal with HP to allow
HP to resell Net Perceptions in HP's channel for e-
business. The agreement is significant as it validates
Net Perceptions robust technology in a global tech
channel as well as introduces Net Perceptions into that
reseller market.

That's a good sign to us since it helps position Net
Perceptions more in the global giants of technology like
HP. Agreements with global giants are much more
efficient for Internet solution providers since the
heavy lifting is done by the buyer, pushing the product
through a wide network.

The core belief is that Net Perceptions may now be able
to pursue agreements with other OEMs to establish a
wider user base on the way to a platform for
personalized, precision marketing. I think CMGI should
have bought this company a long time ago.
