Interesting info regarding Guillian-Barre. Though it differs greatly from what my family was told and experienced when my brother was diagnosed.

On what basis do you say that you think it is well enough know??? (Not being argumentive.....but curious, as it was 9 years ago that my brother had it)

<edit> there is only a sparse amount of info on the internet on this......maybe I just missing it.....but that seems to indicate that fact that it may not be quite so well know.)

If her organs are shutting down then she is losing the battle and must have been exposed to a poison that he immune system cannot fight, or a very virulent virus. I strongly wonder if they HAVE checked for the presence of West Nile Fever or Rocky Mountain Fever -- both viruses cause symptoms like she has.
