The thread was stagnating from excessive cheerleading and the lack of controversy. <Since AMD's Copper AthWiper from Dregsden shows no clock speed advantage over their Aluminum AthWiper from Austin, Intel's assessment of Copper NOT BEING Necessary for the 0.18 micron generation was 100% CORRECT !!> Your conclusion that 0.18 Copper Tbird does not have clock speed advantage over Al is premature. <Now - maybe you can tell us how many Oxygen Ion Implanters - and at what cost - will be required for 5000 Wafer Starts per week for SOI wafers.> AMD does not have to buy Implanters they can just buy SOI wafers. Is that from the same source that told you 1 GHz Coppermine have passive cooling? Oh, how about them TIMNA? I am so worried that it will destroy the K6 based machine this Christmas season. You told us so, times after times. And you are never wrong, of course. Also what is that ticking noise I hear, I think it is the Merced DELAYED clock. It is past 2 years and it is still ticking, it is bound to self destruct one of these times. And I also hear demand is too high, yields are great, ramp is ahead of schedule and AMD is only lucky.
