Here is a listing by US News and World Report on the best hospitals in the US. Beth Israel is #38 nationwide, but I think it's the third best in New York City. New York Presbyterian, which is the hospital for Columbia and Cornell University Med Schools, is number 3 nationwide. Mount Sinai is number 20. So Beth Israel is a good hospital, but not the best.
