Father Terrence and All,

I am saddened and troubled to hear of Edwarda's serious Illness. I have always delighted in her writings here on SI.

I think someone should go to her apartment and retrieve the herbal things she might have been self-dosing with and take them to her physicians. I also think special attention should be paid to any environmental toxins with which she may have come into contact, both in her own apartment and in the home of the deceased person mentioned. What was the cause of that person's death? It could be relevant.

Other questions worth asking: Had Edwarda done any recent traveling prior to her illness? If so, where? Had she perhaps sought medical treatment just prior to her collapse? Worth looking into. Her cat should be checked for illness. I may be shooting from the hip here, but I can't rid myself of a cat-flea-plague connection.

I heartily concur with the separate thread to be used only for posting known facts which could help with possible diagnosis and treatment.

As for the hospital sharing details of Edwarda's diagnosis and treatment, we are running in the face of compromising her medical confidentiality. Perhaps JLA and her sister will be able to give us more explicit information about what has been done and what is being planned, because the hospital and her physicians really cannot do so without legal authorization.

I concur with Steve Rogers that moving Edwarda at this point would be a dicey call. It is probably inadvisable.
