I would ask all who are so minded to join in common prayer or holding in thought for Edwarda tomorrow morning. I suggest that at 9:00 Pacific, 10:00 Mountain, 11:00 Central, and 12:00 Eastern, those who are so minded join in prayer for Edwarda, and those who are otherwise minded join in a community of holding Edwarda in our mental or spiritual care.

Christopher, what a lovely idea. This morning at the appointed hour we will all send our positive thoughts and prayers to Edwarda. I hope those at her bedside will let us know if she responds.

As far as I can tell, no doctors are contributing to this thread, though plenty of SI members are MDs. What about trying to locate a few through their alias pages and asking them to join us?

The point wouldn't be to hope that they'd make a diagnosis; obviously that's impossible. But they might have some ideas about what could and should be done; what's feasible and what's not.
