Remember how the Dems work these issues.

Recall South Carolina. The recent GOP governor had tried to remove the Confederate flag from their capitol but was stymied, largely because of Dem-created "heritage" organizations. The media never really reported that.

The GOP governor was defeated. largely because of that issue, as Dems played both sides.

Chuck,
Some of these young whippersnappers think there is a furor over the confederate flag only now . Back in 1951, when I was in high school, in Texas, a group of us had small Confederate flags sewn to the backs of our blue jeans jackets. Nothing racial was intended. We were just proud of being Southerners, as opposed to yankees. Then the boom was lowered on us, accusing us of being a gang, and we were forced to take them off. So, the flap over the Confederate flag, is old news, just being rehashed.
