I noted that one myself and couldn't help but wonder as to why both the technology and more importantly, the approach being taken by Jazio, wouldn't be viewed warmly by the chippers, especially now.

This is brand new. Very few people heard about this before last week.

I rarely post here, due to the rancour and rudeness displayed by some of its participants. Open discussion tends to be encouraged by civility. Too bad some participants do not place a value on examining alternative points of view.

Too much money on the line for civility, I guess.

Why would they want to do this. If they are all paying the same small royalty, none are at a disadvantage to the others. It would be more costly to go to the effort of finding an alternative.
