I agree with Glenn, but one has to ascertain what is a new economy stock, and what isn't.
How do you differentiate the difference?

Good point. I really do not have a clue but look for companies reporting revenue and expenses according to GAAP. Also, ones with reasonbly low cash burn. Amazon is excepted from this criteria.

You know I should never open my mouth on the new economy subject, since I've never made a dime on a new econ stock. But anyway, to my way of thinking new econ stocks are discovered after the fact. If you find a company mired in debt, is sinking deeper into the red, etc..., but still its stock is hitting new highs, then it is new econ. By definition, the new e stocks are the ones where the scam went on a little longer than could be reasonably expected. Otherwise it is just another idiotic speculation.
