Good God! Xenadrine sounds awful. LOADED with stimulants and diuretics. No wonder she had trouble sleeping.

You may consider adding, "ephedra toxicity" to the questions section.

As respectfully as we can, I hope we can get her physician(s) to consider our ruminations. Sometimes "out-of-the-box" ideas can stimulate new avenues of inquiry.

Cobalt Blue,

You mentioned that she complained that the birds were keeping her awake at night. What kind of birds? I seem to recall something in the recesses of my mind about some disease carried in dried pigeon poop that wind will blow around, but for the life of me, I cannot recall the specific disease.

I will PM my fax and you can pass along your info. I will pass it to the attending physician. I spoke with him at length today. I am quite satisfied that they are doing all that is possible for her. The main problem is that she is weak and hence some more aggressive means of treatment can not be attempted at this time. JLA
