Except for the 2 RIMM vs. 3 RIMM problem of the i820, the i820 has been a pretty good chip set.

Intel's headaches were with the MTH - a SEPARATE chip that attempted - and failed - to interface cheaper SDRAM to the Rambus controller of the i820.
