Paul, >Intel's attention to the critical issue of teachers and their housing costs represents a new milestone in corporate America's conciousness.

I hope other companies follow suit.

On the negative side, this Good Deed will not go unpunished.

I'm sure Ralph Nader and his ilk will BLAST INTEL for not doing EVEN MORE.

Or the Sierra huggers will blast Intel for encouraging people to stay in the Santa Clara Valley.

Helping teachers in that manner is really way above and beyond the call of duty for a local high-tech company. Good for Intel.

Intel spent some time at the stockholders' meeting with the "we're polluting the ground with our chip company less than before" thing, something I didn't need to have take time at that particular meeting. However, it is important, and Intel is aware or it.

Tony

Paul,

Re: "Intel Helps Teachers Buy Homes - Under the program, Santa Clara-based Intel, the world's largest microchip maker, has set up a $1.25 million housing fund for the school district."

Who is the lucky winner of the house? Or is it two winners in East Palo Alto?
