P -- The possibility over beating the est exists IMO. First the currency fluctuations did not seem to impact HNZ negatively and they derive a large percentage of their rev from Europe. Different sectors etc and all, I know BUT the European % of rev for them is high.
All accounts indicate most if not all of the RIF has been accomplished as scheduled. That alone will add significantly to eps.
Costs associated with product intros VS rev/margin are beyond my scope. We know the new advertising/PR will be expensive. What is not known is the billing cycles. Often these are done on a qtrly basis and there MAY only be a small percentage actually paid this qtr. A little mumble from IR on the subject would be in order though unlikely...
Being ON TARGET this qtr is imparative. An extra penny or three would be nice (I expect 1) but all indications of completeing the F/Y at or above consensus is required for any share price appreciation above 32. JMhO
