I have seen no evidence that DRDRAM is a high performance memory worth paying any price premium for in currently available computer systems.

The benchmarks that Tom provided indicate quite the opposite.

Rambus should have a sign in the hall saying "It's the latency stupid".

It sure is.

That is why Intel will be addressing this segment with a ServerWorks chip set - supporting 133 MHz SDRAMs.

The Rambus/Tehama/Willamette combination is targeted at the high end desktop and Workstation segments.

By the way Dougie - what memory does AMD support in the server Chip Set offerings ?
