Brent, CPQ, CSCO, IBM, SUNW, et al all have difficult Summer quarters, simply because the buyers of IT infrastructure (and the sellers) are taking vacations and generally not as intense as they are in the Fall through Spring months. Sure, they buy, but the big buying decisions are usually delayed until all of the decision makers and purchasing agents are back together. This is often discussed in conference calls. I have heard CSCO, CPQ, and NTAP discuss it frequently.

I have also experienced it for many years as an IT sales guy.
