There's some sense to the idea but not much, and it seems unnecessary to me. Manufacturers are happy to license technology at reasonable rates. I don't think NOK has any strategic imperative in owning QCOM. A stock swap could be done without immediate EPS dilution but it would crimp NOK's growth rate somewhat and probably cause its PE ratio to contract. This seems to me a 100 to 1 shot at best.
