mepci: You are right. Wave has yet to emerge securely from the development stage. And nobody should "bet the farm" on anything, much less a development-stage company. But your allusion to "trademark" indicates that you may not be very familiar with Wave's intellectual property, which is patented.

I did not compare Wave with Dell. Somebody else did. I believe that he was talking about how each company attracted true believers in its early days (remember PCs Limited?). Nobody is alleging similarity between Wave and a technological manufacturing and marketing gorilla.

Nor is anybody trying to "hype [Wave] beyond what is physically possible." Again, you might be interested to read about Wave's patented system:
