IMHO, Crusoe is being transitioned from a "low-cost x86 compatible" processor to a "cheap, low-power device" (with much of the "cheap" part coming from Linux.) That broadens their market but puts them head-to-head with NSM, Intel and STM who could easily embrace Linux if they chose.

Processor wars are always interesting and unpredictable. But I have to ask how much it matters which chip is inside your next "appliance". The more important questions is whether it meets you needs at an affordable price. And, of course, if it has a CF slot :-)
