<AMD's own sandwich with Duron/Thunderbird begins now. >

Don't kill Paul's hope. He may still be waiting for Timna/Wilamette sandwich. It is gonna take a while - Need to keep the hope alive.

<Duron is very important to AMD, and it is just one of the reasons AMD won't die away in 2001, as some people want to think.>

Bingo! Duron at low-end and Thunderbird at the mid-range will be AMD's mantra if (and that is a BIG if) Intel can ratchet-up Wilamette MHz quickly before AMD has a chance to bring-in Sledgehammer.
