I'm a fundamental buy and hold investor. I took a small (less than 1%) speculative 'trading' position in Corel last year at the average price of ~$3. after adding their then Netwinder hardware line, WordPerfect brand value, Win32 interop accumen and 'Linux' direction (although I wasn't of much faith that Linux on the desktop could ever amount to much). I sold 40% of my CORL holding at ~$25 and remain holding the rest speculatively. CORL is not an equity (of a quality) that I'd normally hold. --- It's my opinion that CORL needs a manager rather than an entrepreneur (Cowpland). I think CORL would be a nice acquisition for a hardware company or service provider otherwise. I like Marlen in leather. -JCJ --- Edit: BTW, this is all a matter of record on the Corel thread. You can see where maybe it doesn't quite match up to Rod McPherson and whatever page of the DSM-IV he lept out from.
