People, especially investors are entitled to their optimistic opinions. Some investors have confidence based on fundamentals and the long term prospects of the company. Because one is optimistic, it does not make them a tout or someone pumping a stock. In fact, many so called Longs only appear on the message boards regularly to defend their opinions and a good company's name against stock bashers. Stock bashers who are openly bashing a stock have much less of a reason to be at places like this. They openly claim they have no stock and even say they have no position. If this is the case, then you need to ask why are they so concerned about the activities of the company and opinions of longs and other investors. Please look closely at those who continuously and daily bash a stock. They are the ones who by logical observations, are engaged in illegal activities in my opinion.
