Ancor Demonstrates Dynamic Storage Allocation in Sun Solution at Network Storage 2000

MINNEAPOLIS, June 19 /PRNewswire/ --

Ancor Communications Inc. (Nasdaq: ANCR), will use its SANbox(TM) Fibre Channel switches along with Sun network storage devices to demonstrate a massively scalable storage solution at the Network Storage 2000 Conference in Monterey, Calif., this week. The complete line of SANbox switches, including the industry's first 64-port Fibre Channel Director can be viewed in booth #6.

The company's live demo features two SANbox 16-port switches, a Sun StorEdge T3 array, and a Sun A5200, highlighting a real-world application of Ancor's SANguard(TM) Zoning features. SANguard Zoning provides flexible, easy-to-manage security as storage volumes are dynamically reassigned between two Sun Ultra servers using Veritas Volume Manager(TM).

"The ability to virtually redistribute storage among multiple hosts is key to managing explosive data growth," said Carla Kennedy, Ancor's vice president of marketing. "SANguard enhances the security of these applications, allowing IT managers to establish and reconfigure flexible, yet secure storage access groups without physically altering the cabling."

Sun announced last week that it would use Ancor's switch with its new network storage solution, the StorEdge T3 array. The StorEdge family of products allows enterprise customers to meet the massive storage requirements of the Net economy, helping them keep up with rapidly expanding storage data volumes fueled by applications such as web serving, data mining, and digital media.

What happened to the humorous post offered by Mr. szabel, hard to believe censorship has reached the point where his infantile rantings are unacceptable. Wasn't he just offering us his views of near term price action? staying short until qlgc hits 40.
anyone have an explanation for todays miserable price action, lately we seem to be getting good news but sliding stock price [possibly making szabel's attitude and remarks a little tough to endure]
More comfortable being long than short as I believe earnings growth [and market share increases] are just around the corner and the price will move as that becomes evident.
