AppNet Issues Statement of Clarification (BusinessWire, 06/19/2000 11:19) BETHESDA, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 19, 2000--This morning, a statement was inadvertently released stating that Commerce One (NASDAQ:CMRC) and AppNet, Inc. (NASDAQ:APNT) had signed a definitive merger agreement. AppNet, a premier provider of end-to-end e-business solutions, today confirmed that it is engaged in discussions and negotiations concerning a potential combination with Commerce One, but that it has not entered into any agreements at this time. The company cautioned that significant issues remain unresolved, which would need to be resolved before any such combination could occur; accordingly, there can be no assurances that any such combination may occur.
