What possible benefit does GBLX derive from bidding up EQUANT's price and then be unable to consummate a deal?

BTW, one would expect that as a component of the NAZ100 and SPX, GBLX would be up more than a paltry fraction of a point today.

LoF, absolutely correct. They were in there just to keep somebody else from getting it cheaply, I figured. No, the price was not affected was it (share price GBLX I assume you mean).
Did anyone see this last paragraph at the bottom of URL: biz.yahoo.com
