Yes.

Yes is all we can say. Yes.

And submit completely to whatever forces that have let this happen.

I will write no more.

If I were God, my Eyes would be Sad.

God bless Edwarda. May she be in a better place. She touched more than she knew. Her goodness shall be remembered and live on in them.

I pray for the repose of her soul. I think I'll say the prayer to St. Teresa of Avila, she was Edwarda's favorite.

I should have been prepared for this.

Obviously I wasn't. It's going to be very hard to work the rest of today.

We should schedule an online memorial service for her here. In a day or two to give everybody who will want to be here time to learn of this, best in the evening when most of us are off work and can attend. I feel an need to be here with my SI friends to hold e-hands together in grief for our loss and celebration of her wonderful time with us here.

Perhaps Wednesday evening? 6:00 Pacific, 9:00 Eastern?

May she rest in peace.

Given the deep concern from many here on SI from all over the world, I think it safe to say that in many ways a cyber community is just a real as the one in which we physically live. It makes me appreciate everyone I've met here on SI that much more.

It truly is amazing how - even online - we all touch one another. Edwarda was someone that we all knew but perhaps never met live and yet we still feel a great sense of loss since we have indeed lost someone close to us.

Edwarda will be missed. May she rest in peace.

I didn't log on to SI until now, because I was afraid to look. Damn!

"Things exist at three points in time, I think. When they occur, when we learn that they have occurred, and when we forget them. The last point in time is in many ways the most important one for me because I believe that in the instant we forget we commit a sin. I do not know if God forgives this sin but I know that I do not - not in others, not for myself." -- Charles Bowden

Good-bye Edwarda. You will be long remembered as a good and true person. I miss you.

I am very saddened to hear that Edwarda is gone from us. But is she? As long she is remembered, she will never be far from us.

Strange how the passing of someone I have never met can affect me so. As it has affected everyone on this thread who had never met her.

Rest in peace, Edwarda. Know that you are loved.

Helene

I have watched sadly from the sidelines; Edwarda and I corresponded only a tiny bit, but I was enriched by it, and have the Laughter thread in my memory thanks to her.

My sincere condolences to her family, and to her many, many friends in the real world and the virtual. May she enjoy the best of the next world.

We have all lost a friend, someone of feeling and so often a wellspring of mirth and good wishes.

It's not the same around here somehow.

My deepest sympathies to those especially who knew her so well, who cavorted and gallivanted with her every day.
