Metsin,

You have a valid question, although your conclusion is not correct.

The emotion is still out of it since I normally prefer to have all 3 major indices in the same region per my short-term technicals. As mentioned previously, the DOW is in the lower midrange, although the SPX is already in the overbought region but still not a CLASS SELL. What I would consider a better situation is if 2 of the major indices were at least in the overbought region while the 3rd as a CLASS 1 SELL, and even better yet if all 3 were in the CLASS 1 and CLASS 2 region. I have mentioned such in the past but not in great detail.

Another reason I did not play the CLASS 1 SELL in the NAZ is that we already have $3000 in short positions and only $1000 in a long position, so I am already weighted to the downside.

So your conclusion that emotion was the reason I did not play the CLASS 1 SELL is incorrect, it was other factors which were subjective to a degree but not based on emotions that the market would continue up.

Again, you had a very valid question and I thank you for asking it. In fact I was planning to give an explanation in my INDEX UPDATE as to why I did not play the CLASS 1.
