Tench, another quiet intro?
Look's like the IBM PC300GL business PC's now support PC133.
Must be some i815's in there.

Re: A quick check of the Compaq site shows the DeskPro EN series are now i815E based, replacing the 440/820 based machines...

So Timna is being converted to SDRAM from RDRAM before it is introduced. The SDRAM 815 is replacing the RDRAM 820.

It looks like 95+% of the value of Rambus is from the one lawsuit over the one patent for an obvious extension of widely used technology that was amended after Rambus participated in JEDEC memory discussions.

So far, so good. There is a degree of risk here, however: What if you run into a Judge who realizes that using a wheel to steer a 2001 model year car isn't really all that different from using a wheel to steer a 1999 model year car. Yes, the cars are different, and no, it's true that no one ever used a wheel to steer a 2001 model year car before, and sure, they could have used a tiller to steer it so the wheel wasn't the only way, but nonetheless, some things just aren't unique enough to patent.
