Eric, my preferred measurement of volume is % of average daily volume. To me that is a more reliable indicator of increased or decreased interest in a stock.

INTC ADV = 20.449mm. Today's volume as a % of ADV = 145%
AMD ADV = 4.125mm. Today's volume as a % of ADV = 92%

Eric, I was just making a comparison of INTC volume today, vs. its own average, based on the numbers at the bottom here, with same for AMD today. That's the drift of what I was getting from the AMD thread, as "not enough today." No need to jump out of your skin.
