Comment: It's only normal to expect some retracement after a day move of $9.00 but since when has AMD behaved normally... In this downtrend context I'm not sure. I agree that it is quite likely, but the stock was going nowhere in thw past few days and it may have found his way today. This table is pretty interesting :clearstation.com It shows you'll be right here : Date High Low Close Volume May 31 2000 85.88 81.44 81.75 3,922,100 May 30 2000 86.00 76.88 85.88 5,198,600 May 26 2000 75.12 69.25 74.00 4,071,700 May 25 2000 75.38 66.00 70.62 10,830,700 and here Apr 27 2000 87.25 80.25 85.75 7,096,400 Apr 26 2000 87.38 81.88 82.50 7,008,900 Apr 25 2000 88.00 81.75 87.50 6,357,000 Apr 24 2000 81.62 76.19 80.00 6,329,900 But I'm seeing (or maybe hoping) more that kind of scenario : Date High Low Close Volume Mar 8 2000 55.50 49.38 53.50 6,733,000 Mar 7 2000 59.00 47.50 53.75 12,871,500 Mar 6 2000 49.00 46.00 47.62 11,228,700 Mar 3 2000 42.00 39.75 41.88 3,455,100 ... But some volume is missing to complete analogy :( well I just hope, as I fist said, that we will stand the 90The relatively low volume today certainly implies to me that the shares are now primarily in strong hands...As well, the Duron benchmarks eliminate any remaining uncertainty about AMD's wherewithal for competing successfully at all levels for the foreseeable future...I wouldn't bet on a whole lot of weakness in AMD tomorrow...In fact, I won't be surprised if AMD closes at an all-time high above $93 tomorrow, maybe even significantly above, if 5 million in volume materializes... me neither but it would be more likely be on a 4-4.5 million volume. In any event, AMD is in the initial stages of a lurch forward into hitherto untouched terrain...The next 4 weeks should provide above average returns for AMD longs! My july options hope with yours!
