SST Declares Three-For-One Stock Split

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Jun 19, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- SST (Silicon Storage Technology,
Inc.) (Nasdaq:SSTI) today announced today that its Board of Directors has approved a
three-for-one split of the company's outstanding shares of common stock.

The stock split will be effected in the form of a stock dividend and will entitle each
shareholder of record at the close of business on July 28, 2000, to receive two shares for
every share of common stock held on the record date. Distributions from the stock split are
expected to be made by the transfer agent on or about August 11, 2000. The stock split will
increase the number of shares of SST common stock outstanding from approximately 29.7
million shares to approximately 89.1 million shares.
