ooooh I'd have a hard time with that. My brother in law was a sort of doom and gloom zealot. The world was going to get blown up in a nuclear war, we were going to be hit by an asteroid, and on and on and on- finally he moved a long way away and I don't miss him a bit. My mom is a liberal zealot. She takes positions without thinking about them- I can't STAND it- but she's in her 80's and I don't want to kill her by arguing with her. However, it has not made me appreciate zealots, at all.
