hi Achan:

i have been in this stock for quite some time now, 4 years, and have been disappointed. my stop losses have kicked in and i hold no shares as of today.

the price has been pushed down, imo, as the management has not heeded the words of the street (whatever that means).

i will buy back in the future, but not right now as the price is crashing through all support prices. i will likely wait until some positive news comes out and will begin accumulating again.

i, too, believe geac is a good company; but right now, the sentiment is that management will/has disappointed. bergeron indicated that they would be more transparent...i haven't seen any sign of that.

as for dumpthelackies...he/she sounds like an ex-geac employee to me.

good luck.

AChan: earnings for GEAC are not important. As you know, the Operating earnings are +ve but decreasing. However the nett earnings are -ve and increasing in magnitude .

The Company and its Creditors rely on a buisness model which though tax correct is not acceptable to the street. In brief, GEAC is making purchases which results in much bigger depreciation than actually shown on the Buisness plan. To overcome that, they need to step up their cash flow which is not possible unless they reegineer.

I hope they learn from this downslide that it does not pay
to acquire using the Purchase accounting method.
