dave, That's what makes it a horse race, isn't it? I have no problem with competition -- if any of these players get the big wins, set up industry-wide validation programs, etc., etc., etc. and appear to be taking away business from Rambus, I'll happily jump ship. I'm looking for companies that are going to be winners. Right now it appears that Rambus is that company. So far none of these other companies appear to be even close to building the momentum necessary to overtake Rambus. Remember that it's not just about building a better technology -- it's about having all the infrastructure in place to be successful as well. But if one comes along, I'm sure you'll let us know (and p.s. since I live across town from you, you can just give me a call maybe 10 minutes before you post it on the board, right? <G>). LDT is being designed by AMD right now. Jazio was very warmly received last week. Rambus has some serious trust problems at this point. Who wants to play with a company that is willing to blind side their customers, like they did with this SDRAM thing? Scumbria
